The paper splits into a Basique section and an Avance section, with Avance questions worth double. The paper grows with the class: Senior KG sits 25 questions for 30 marks in 45 minutes; Classes 1-2 sit 60 for 80 marks; Classes 3-4 sit 80 for 100; Classes 5-12 sit 100 for 120. CMMO's page answers it directly: no negative marking since 2025. Its sibling CREST Mathematics Olympiad says nothing at all — the word 'negative' does not appear on the CMO page, the shared marking scheme, or the FAQs. Do not read CMMO's rule across to CMO.
CREST's CMMO syllabus names no mental-calculation method — no Vedic maths, no abacus, no named shortcut system. The topics read as a conventional maths syllabus with themed names. If you want technique training specifically, the branding is misleading.
